Pine Tree Recovery Center

HELPING YOU ACHIEVE SERENITY

Guardian Recovery Network is expanding its outreach in the wake of the national prescription drug and heroin epidemic to Portland, Maine. Pine Tree Recovery Center will opened summer of 2018, offering medical detoxification, crisis intervention, case management and a slew of other much-needed services, and serving as a valuable resource in a part of the country that understands the consequences of the opioid epidemic firsthand.

The Maine Attorney General’s Office reports that there were 418 drug overdose deaths in 2017, an 11% increase from 2016. 26% of overdose deaths occurred in Cumberland County, with 57 of those deaths occurring in Portland. That’s more than one overdose death each week. Additionally, 85% of overdose deaths were caused by at least one opioid, which includes prescription and non-prescription opioids. The increase is largely driven by fentanyl, which killed 247 people in 2017 alone.

Our Maine recovery center will utilize a highly individualized, multi-pronged approach in helping clients – and their families – recover from addiction, heal and successfully transition into appropriate treatment programs.
